5X Business Growth is the consulting platform of Vince Thomson, a seasoned consumer products executive with a track record of driving over $2 billion in revenue through the development and placement of more than 1,000 products across the world’s largest retailers and distributors. The 5X framework helps companies grow strategically and profitably across five proven paths: deepening relationships with existing customers, expanding into new customers and channels, accelerating sales and marketing efforts, developing new products and services, and executing strategic M&A.

Vince’s career includes senior leadership roles at Newell Brands, where he helped scale the Eldon division from $55M to $400M in sales and led teams to Vendor of the Year Awards with some of the world’s largest retailers. He later co-founded IdeaStream Consumer Products, which he and his two partners built from scratch into a business with over $100M in annual retail sales of proprietary brands and products, including Vaultz®. After a successful exit in 2021, Vince began advising companies using the same disciplined, entrepreneurial, and customer-driven approach that powered his own success.

A former All-American defensive tackle and the first player from Missouri Western ever drafted into the NFL, Vince brings a relentless, team-first mindset and a deep commitment to execution—both on the field and in business.
